The Company conducts investment management business, investment advisory and agency business, and type II financial instruments business. Financial instruments subject to investment management and investment advisory as well as financial instruments handled by type II financial instruments business are mainly real estate beneficial interest in a trust or equity interest in a silent partnership that directly or indirectly invest in real estate beneficial interest in a trust.
As real estate beneficial interest in a trust distributes profits and redeems principal using profits obtained through the management of real estate, which are targets of investment, monies acquired from disposition of concerned real estates and other trust assets as monies, the profits and prices are largely affected by fluctuation of real estate prices and rent fees, interest rate levels, exchange rate and other market conditions.
Profits and prices regarding equity interest in a silent partnership that directly or indirectly invest in real estate beneficial interest in a trust are also affected by fluctuation of prices and rent fees of underlying assets, which are real estate, interest rate level, exchange rate and other market conditions.
Therefore, for clients invested in financial instruments handled by the Company, there are risks that expected distribution could not be received or risks that initial principal to be impaired with occurrence of loss exceeding initial principal.
As the details and level of risk of financial instruments handled by the Company varies by financial instrument as well as the features of real estate, target of investment, etc., please use judgement when concluding a contract for financial instruments transactions after carefully reading the prospectus, product guide documents, documents delivered prior to conclusion of a contract, silent partnership contract and its complementary documents, etc.
